Through the promotion of all aspects of pipe bands, liaison with both local and international organisations engaged in the promotion of pipe bands, piping and drumming; maintenance and creation of bonds of fellowship with pipe band personnel throughout the world standardisation of contest rules and organisation of contests, training of adjudicators and exam-based qualifications and the training of pipers, drummers and drum majors a healthy and competitive pipe band environment exists in Southern Africa.
